Father and Son Mini-Me Style!
06/10/2010Contrary to popular belief, most Dads have it rough on Father’s Day. All those grilling tools, fish ties and coupons for back massages can get very old fast. The truth is, Dad deserves better.
Think about it: They already get so much flack in today’s media. You know those stereotypical commercials showing those poor husbands who never know where their keys are, can’t fix anything around the house and are constantly making messes. And while the reality can sometimes be messier than fiction (you know who you are), Dads are still pretty great to have around.
So when it comes to gifts, a book, a tie or some generic plaque is just not enough anymore. I mean with all the myriad of options available for moms, can’t we be a little more creative when it comes to gifting the men in our lives?
This year, make Father’s Day one your husband will never forget by stocking up on some serious style. And the great thing is, many designers are releasing mini-me looks so all your boys can feel bonded without having to wear those silly matching tees. In fact, there are a whole slew of classic and affordable options that will make this Father’s Day not only memorable but the most stylish yet.
Take shoes for example. They’re a great way for Dads and sons to coordinate without looking like they just stepped out of a Father and Son catalog. Adidas Samba sneaks are always a fun choice and Sperry has amazing Top Sider shoes for men and boys (and even pre-walker styles) that are perfect for boating or any outdoor activity.
Polos are also a great bet. Ralph Lauren is always a solid bet for classic styling and a wide range of colors. And johnnie-O has many affordable polos and shirts for both men and their tots.
For accessories, aviator sunglasses, military belts, blazers and fedoras come in a variety of men’s and mini sizes for day’s favorite mini fashionistas.
With so many cost-conscious options out there, you might even save enough to score yourself something special from Zulily who has a dad’s favorite Puma sale coming up soon. Talk about a win-win!
What are you doing for dad this year?
