Halloween is a time of the year kids look forward to all year long. I mean, let’s face it, who doesn’t love candies and dressing up? Last year, we had to take additional measures when it came to celebrating Halloween with our kids, due to Covid-19. This year, things may be looking more festive, and we want to start the celebration just right. Here, you will have a few ideas for Halloween treats for kids and grown-ups alike – and how to make it fun for everyone in the family.

Easy Halloween Treats for Kids and the Entire Family

What’s great about all these treats is that you can use them for a get-together, class party, Halloween party or just as a fun treat for the family, neighbors or friends.

Answer some of these questions to yourself: are you grabbing store-bought candies, are you making your own from scratch – or are you dressing up some store-bought candies and making them your own? We approve of all the above options.

The idea is to make Halloween this year an extra special one for your kids and family.

Whether or not you’re a fan of this classic Halloween candy, you’re sure to love a few tasty cupcakes topped with creamy marshmallow frosting. 3. Candy Apples

Halloween usually means candy apples galore, and with some praline crunch and gummy worms, you can make yours extra-spooky. The best part of all? They’re super-simple to make!

Create a bewitching version of this beloved candy-coated treat by dipping small Red Delicious apples in a bright red syrup flavored with red cinnamon candies. They make great Halloween decorations for the table, too.

4. Witches Midnight Puppy Chow

Who doesn’t love a good puppy chow? We made our very own Halloween-inspired Witches Midnight Puppy Chow and everyone who got a serving really enjoyed it.

Who knew it was so easy to make? All we have to say is that it’s great to snack on. Hope you’ll love it, too.

This puppy chow recipe is sweet and chocolatey, with a hint of peanut butter and lots of candy corn. A perfect Halloween treat!

5. Candy Cobweb Chocolate Bark

The best trick this season: making guests run toward spiders instead of away from them! Melt dark, milk and white chocolate and toss over parchment paper on a cookie sheet. Spread evenly and sprinkle your favorite Halloween candies all over the “web.”

You can also design a more realistic web using the melted white chocolate. Cut along the lines of the chocolate cobwebs on the bark for picture-perfect portions.

Halloween fudge brownies

6. Candy Corn Fudge

These colorful treats may sound super-sweet, but a few key ingredients keep them balanced: cream cheese for tanginess, pretzels for a salty kick and dried cherries for a touch of tartness.

One of the best things about this fudge is that you can customize it to your liking with your favorite candies and dried fruits. Make it your own and have fun with it.

Halloween spider cakes

7. Spice Chocolate Monster Truffles

Spiced Chocolate Monster Truffles are sweet, with a hint of pumpkin spice and they melt in your mouth perfectly. You will want to make them over and over.

These chocolate treats can easily be made the night before or even a couple of nights before. If you are hosting a Halloween get-together, consider giving them out as party favors. Who doesn’t love to go home with something sweet?

Halloween trifle graveyard dessert cups

8. Graveyard Cookie Jar

Now, when it comes to themed treats like these, I always consider one or two that can double as décor. Graveyard cookie jars do just that. Their contents are delicious, and they can be showcased as Halloween decorations for the table.

Fill a large glass cookie jar with crumbs from your favorite chocolate cake along with white chocolate bones. Layer in tombstone sugar cookies decorated with gray, black, and purple royal icing. Pipe in tufts of grass using green-tinted buttercream. Push in a cemetery sign made from cardstock and painted wood skewers.

9. Ghostly Pumpkin Custards

Who said you can’t make a spooky dessert or treat for Halloween that’s also the cutest thing you’ll ever seen? We love the way these ghostly pumpkin custards turn out.

When it comes to desserts for special occasions our go to is usually those that can be made and served individually. Perfect for entertaining large or small gatherings.

Ghostly pumpkin custards are creamy and have the best warm Fall scent.
